Shiloh: A place of rest where Grace is found.
My name is Robbie-Lynn. I am the owner, designer and maker of Shiloh Artisan, and I have always made things.
For me, creating is like prayer; a way to connect with my Creator. It gives my heart a rest from the storms of life and gives me the peace of mind to face them again. My work tells the story of that Grace.
I am drawn to the vastness of nature in sweeping landscapes as well as the intricate organic lines of tiny things like butterflies, leaves and flowers. I find many spiritual lessons in nature and many of my designs are based on natural forms.
I love working with silver. There is something spiritual about it's enduring beauty. The more you bend, shape and hammer it the stronger and more lustrous it becomes. It is consistently amazing to me to see a coil of wire or sheet of metal become a tiny wearable sculpture infused with meaning. I use the traditional jewelry fabrication techniques of a silver smith, hand beading with glass and gemstone beads as well as incorporating textile design through beaded crochet.
As a Storyteller at heart, I can image the bride in Ohio or the mother in Canada making memories while wearing a piece of jewelry that I created. I love the idea that I become a part of other people's stories through my work.
My hope is that you will find a Story of Grace in my shop that resonates with you.
